Selene Quiroga

Physical Therapist and
Certified Hand Therapist
Dr. Quiroga received her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Howard University where she was a member of the College of Allied Health Science National Honor Society.
Dr. Quiroga joined MOT in 2015. She is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and Kinesio Tape practitioner. In addition to upper extremity treatments, Ms. Quiroga is experienced in treating cervical spine, lumbar spine and lower extremities injuries. She is fluent in Spanish.
Kathryn Nicholson

Clinical Director
A graduate of the University of Maryland (B.S. Physical Therapy), Ms. Nicholson has specialized in Work Injury for over 20 years. She has been with MOT since 1996, performing Functional Capacity Evaluations and designing Work Hardening programs. Ms. Nicholson has completed FCE training with Matheson Education and Training Solutions. She has expertise with ergonomic/job site analysis having rendered those services for a wide variety of employers including Giant Foods, the FBI, The Washington Times.
Ms. Nicholson has over 25 years of experience working with both neurological and orthopedic conditions, disorders of the upper extremities including multiple fractures, peripheral and upper motor neuron injuries, brain and spinal cord injury, CVA and progressive neurological diseases.
Roy Velasco

Physical Therapy Assistant
Mr. Velasco is a certified Physical Therapy Assistant with experience with neurological pathologies, gait and balance disorders. He assists patients with correctly completing their programs and provides direct patient care with orthopedic pathologies such as muscle sprains, hip/knee/foot/ankle injuries, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy utilizing modalities, therapeutic exercises and
patient education.
Angelica McShane
PT, MPT
Physical Therapist
Angelica graduated from Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia with her Bachelor in physical therapy. She went on to earn her Master in Physical Therapy through FCCPT in 2015. Prior to joining our team, she gained experience working in outpatient orthopedic, geriatric and youth sports rehab in Washington D.C. She is a manual therapy and kinesiology tape practitioner. She has a special interest in lower extremity orthopedic rehabilitation. Angelica joined MOT in 2020. She is fluent in Spanish.
Flora Alvarez
Work Hardening Specialist
Ms. Alvarez has over 20 years of experience setting up work simulation activities for patients with a variety of issues and disabilities. Her background allows her to structure custom design programs and ensure that patients meet their improvement goals.
